ART SHOW

art show

Every year, we have an end of year art show.   This year,  Mr. Jeremy Sams was our  judge.  Mr. Sams is a professional artist who does plein air painting.  His first words to me were, "wow, I was not expecting this".  The Green Street Baptist Church Fellowship Hall (which is a large area) was filled with Art I's best, two of Art II's best and Art III, IV and Honors showed their entire portfolio from the year.

BEST IN SHOW
went to Miss Grace Jansen for her piece entitled: Vintage Swimmer

MOST CREATIVE
went to Miss Caroline Harding for her piece entitled: Mountain Man

BEST OVERALL EXHIBIT
went to Miss Maddy Robbins

28 More Days Until Exams

After what seemed like one of the longest Winters ever, I am happy to say that April and Spring are finally here.
Art II students finished their woodblock prints and have started working on architectural paintings and drawings.
Art I students are painting flowers in the paint media of their choice.

Here are some pictures of the Art II students working on their wood blocks.

I have files and files of pictures of art work from students who have graduated and now are in college or are working in their chosen fields.

I thought it might be fun to add some "retro" work to the blog.  So here is some work from our beloved alumni. I will only include their first names and last initial.
