High School Art

HPCA High School Art Blog
2012-2013

The high school art students have started this school year off in a strong way.

ART I

Art I students are learning the basic fundamentals of the language of art.  They are working with the elements of art and the principles of design.  Currently, they are working on black and white designs.  The students were instructed to include with in their work elements from nature to create an abstract landscape.  The name of the project is Whirlwind Design.

WHIRLWIND DESIGNS

Art II

The Art II students are working so hard and I am so amazed at their talent!
Right now they are working on Children's Book Illustrations.  We went on a field trip to the Elementary School building to visit Mrs. Guy in the Elementary library.  There, the students selected a book to work from.  Below are photos of them working on the illustrations in class.

As you can see, they are wonderful students!

Here are examples of finished work from last week.  Last week's project was titled: Side by Side Design.

The art room will soon be filled with beautiful, colorful art work!
We will share more soon!
