School is back in session and we have a lot of talent in the art room this year too.
Art I is working on design work. We have done various projects that will help us learn how to use the elements of art and the principles of design. This week we worked on Mandala Designs. We will post examples next week.
Art II completed their first project which was inspired by letters and symbols. They used watercolor paint and created a painting using letters, symbols, and small pictures within the boxes. We worked on 8X10 watercolor paper. It was a good exercise to get their minds in shape for the next project that they are currently working on which is Children's Book Illustration.
